COMMON PUSSYWILLOW

Salix discolor

Likely the most well-known Willow. Easily identified in spring with the characteristic soft and silvery catkins. Reaches 15 to 20 feet tall and 10 to 12 feet wide. Reddish-brown twigs have long buds for a willow, about a centimeter long.
