CHERRYBARK OAK

Quercus falcata var. pagodifolia

This very attractive large shade tree has a rounded outline growing to 60 to 80 feet. Distinguishable from Southern Red Oak by the blackish cherry-like bark and leaves more uniformly lobed than the species. The acorn is 1/2 inch across.
